I'm Amina and I love playing netball! When I grow up, I want to be a teacher. I think it would be really cool to be a sports teacher.

My story

Amina, a bright and healthy young girl, resides in northern Uganda with her single mother. Her mother, who divorced at a young age, has been raising Amina single-handedly, demonstrating immense resilience amidst challenging circumstances. Amina is currently in her second year of primary school, where she is thriving academically, showing great promise for her future. Despite her mother's efforts, Amina's family has been significantly impacted by two decades of conflict in northern Uganda, leaving them in a state of poverty like many other families in the region. This is the primary reason why Amina is part of our sponsorship program. While both her parents are alive and known, they are divorced, and this has further complicated their economic situation. Amina's story is one of resilience and potential, and with the right support, she can continue to excel in her education and carve out a bright future for herself.

Why Amina needs our help

Amina requires sponsorship as the assistance currently provided by SEVAC Foundation Uganda is limited to scholastic materials and food. While these resources are vital, additional support is necessary to meet her needs fully. Your sponsorship can help fill this gap and provide Amina with the comprehensive care she needs to thrive.

Sponsor Amina

As a guardian you help Amina and other children within the program of SEVAC Foundation Uganda. Thanks to your contribution and that of the other guardians, the children are helped with proper nutrition, tutoring, sports and personal development. This gives them a chance at a hopeful future.
